Absolutely exciting. We will be back and bringing more "victims" with us so prepare the boats. We have fished all over the Keys with many different Captains and Capt. Dave was the best. He knew where the fish were and got us on them quickly. My son says that this was the best trip we have had and really liked fishing with Dave. We all had instant repoire and had a great day on the water from the moment we left the dock. Thank you so much... We showed others the pics around town, passed out your business cards and told them they couldn't go wrong ! I am especially grateful to Dave for giving my son a great day and the opportunity to catch the lemon shark. Many captains are all brag and no fish. Hello Steve – I figured out what we’re going to need and got the reservations taken care of. I wanted to let you know that a few of us are interested in doing some snorkeling as well so I thought we could incorporate some time for that. We would probably want to do that on Friday with the one boat trip. Also, should we plan on packing lunch or did you say we would be coming in to one of the local eateries. Just a note to say, thanks for the fishing a couple of weeks ago. Your two young guides seem to be as knowledgeable as any in the area. You asked how I got your name and it took me awhile but I remembered during the trip back to Houston who gave me your name. It was Cap’t Paul Glanville out of Islamorada. I thought his name was Jim, but I was wrong again. I fished with him there and in Key West. He is more a flats specialist with fly. I didn’t fish with him this time because he moved to New York. I don’t think I will be fishing there any time soon. Anyway, thanks again and I hope you have a good season. Mike |

Gennifer, sorry it took me all week to reply
to you about my husband's trip!! They had fun, alot of fun!! They talked
about it for days. Besides getting stuck in traffic friday ( a tanker
truck blew up) it was good. I guess my husband caught a 90 pound tarpin.
Thay loved it, the only thing that they would of changed is that they
would of picked a boat that they could keep there fish. Oh well, all that
matters is that they had fun. Thank you so much for all your help!!

Hey Capt. Steve, Thank you for the great time Derek and I had flats fishing with you and Luke. In an unfamiliar area and fishing style, we learned about tarpon fishing. Thanks. While I didn't hook up a tarpon, I was very excited to watch Derek bring in that nearly 100 pounder. I will also remember the photo shoot and I hope to see you w/that Tarpon on a Mercury advertisement soon. On a different note, Derek and I cancelled our wreck charter due to your recommendation, and instead, fished off a few bridges and rock jetties. At sunset, and my last cast of the night, I hook up a tarpon right from the rocks. It only took me 20 minutes to bring it in, using the techniques you showed us (pic attached). I am still interested in going shark fishing, and hope to hook up with you guys soon. Derek and I look forward to fishing with you in the future, and will bring some pencil poppers as a gift (ha ha).... Very Respectfully,

Captain Steven and Gennifer!........just returned from my Key West getaway and let me tell you what a blast I had with Captain Luke Kelly! Luke's professionalism shined throughout the day as we jumped 3 nice silver kings, shared a few laughs and most importantly, I met several new friends in all of you. It is very rare these days to meet kind, personable professionals such as yourselves and you made me feel as if we all had shared a boat for years. (which we will!) Gennifer was fantastic from beginning to end and what a professional outfit you two run! First class all the way! A fleet of exceptional boats, the personnel, the rigging room, the Dream Catcher branded apparel, office area and "war" room all reflect your TRUE dedication to all of our passions! Gennifer, I appreciate your sense of humor about my comment about New Jersey, but it was rather funny that Steven was high-fiving me! Oh well, all in good fun right? Steve your stories were priceless and your passion shines right through every word. I am hoping to get down on July 1st and was wondering if Steven or Luke are open in the morning? On a personal note, my experience on June 3rd was just a part of a dream day for me in paradise. I awoke to salt filled air and spent the next 6 hours battling the mighty tarpon, proposed to my high school sweetheart and it was my birthday! My husband and I want to be certain that you
all know what a great job you do to show folks a good fishing experience
aboard the Tortuga!
We apparently picked a good day to fish, as
everyone aboard seemed to catch at least a yellow tail or two to take
home. We turned our catch of yellow tails and a dolphin over to the chef
at the Beach House Restaurant (Sheraton Suites) and were treated to an
absolutely delicious meal from the ocean!
We plan to return to Key West next May, and
hope to share another great morning on the Tortuga.

Great Trip!!! Thanks so much for setting things up. Captain Chris was a blast!! No-nonsense, down to earth, and I’m sure he puts up with his fair share of undesirables, so hopefully we weren’t too bad. A good time had by all. Caught a few fish, of course never as many as you’d like, but enough to talk about for a long time.

Capt. Steve and Gennifer Just wanted to send a thank you for everything. We had two days of fishing on 3/31/ and 4/1 and had a great time. Luke and Nat were excellent. They really did work hard to find the fish. Even though they said there had been slow fishing the days prior, on day one we landed 3 out of 5 Tarpon. One nice one that took over 1 hr to land. Plus a mixed assortment of everything which kept even the short attention spanned fishermen occupied. Day two we weren't as lucky 0 for 1 but that's fishing. Just got back to the office
today. I thank you for a terrific time. Capt. Luke was superb, showing a
great expertise & depth of knowledge. Nice guy too. We caught a lot of
fish, and saw even more exciting stuff. I hooked a bonefish with an
artificial plug (fairly rare from what I understand), my son nabbed a big
tarpon (and reminds me of it almost every day), & I watched a big bull
shark go after a jack I had on the hook. the water was clear, the breeze
gentle, and the weather was warm. Awesome stuff.
I still need to catch a
tarpon.

| Hi Steven and Gennifer. Roy and I wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our two charters with you. It was the highlight of our trip to Key West (along with a bit of extra curricular activities!) We really look forward to coming down again and fishing with you. You seemed to go out of your way and we appreciated that so much. Besides - your sense of humor matches ours! We will be quick to recommend you to any of our friends who might come your way. On another note- if you should ever have the desire to explore the great north - maybe the Adirondacks or Lake George for example - it is beautiful up here and we have lots of room- we would be very happy to share our home with you for a visit - Roy would be a great guide for the Mts. up here. Saratoga is great in the summer etc. Seriously - we mean this. On another note: We were wondering if we might get a few pictures from the group you took - can we purchase them? Roy wants to have proof of his " bragging rights to his friends!! I have one good one from the first fish but the second one did not come out very good because of the sun. Once again - thanks - I was telling all my students today about our day in the back country. I did not mention this to you on the boat but my brother is the Assistant Director of the U.S. Secret Service in Washington and he is an avid fisherman as well. We both grew up fishing and in water most of our lives. He is sometimes looking for charters for himself or friends. You would never know his position because he is as down to earth as we were growing up in a tiny town in upstate N.Y. He rarely tells anyone what his job is - he is much like me in that he really enjoys people and appreciates fun, honest ones who don't care about what he does or who he rubs shoulders with. He would rather not even mention it. I will be telling him about Dream Catchers as well. |

Steve took some pictures w/ his camera for us and told me to send an email to remind him to send the pictures to me. He said to make sure I reminded him that it was the “girl” who caught the permit. Good morning.
We just
returned to CT after a week long cruise in the Caribbean, which included a
stop in Key West. Five months earlier I had booked a 6 hour charter with you
folks. I did so because I was impressed by the flexibility in your
offerings. No one else provided the snorkeling and fishing that I was
looking for as I don't snorkel and other members of my family don't fish. We
were set to leave at 8 in the morning, which seemed doable as our ship was
due to dock in Key West at 7 AM. Unfortunately I discovered that everyone on board had to clear Customs before anyone would be allowed to leave the ship. This was an extremely lengthy process which meant we didn't get off until after 10:30 in the morning. I was in phone contact with you all that morning and your flexibility continued as you graciously agreed to have our 6 hour charter start whenever we arrived, which turned out to be 11 in the morning. Once we got there Captain Nat treated us extremely well. He got us to the fishing grounds and everyone who wanted to fish caught them. We all enjoyed ourselves immensely and my son-in-law, who had never fished before, had such a good time that he never relinquished his rod to his wife but instead fished the entire time. The Captain then took us to a lovely island and anchored there so that people could swim. With the heat as it was this was a welcome thing indeed. We then fished some more, and to cap off this wonderful day he brought us back to shore about a block away from where we had to catch a tram back to our cruise ship. This was far away from his home dock and saved us $25 in cab fares. He certainly didn't have to do this and by doing so once again demonstrated the flexibility of your entire operation. Thank you again for making what could have been a disaster a wonderful day on the water...Bruce D. |

Hi Gen! We were there last month and had booked the 'do it all' all day boat trip on June 13th with you. Just wanted to tell you that we had a great time and your restaurant recommendations were great! We went to Alice's, Camille's for breakfast and to the Bagatelle and all were excellent. We also went to one of our favorites 'Blue Heaven' and definitely think you should add it to your list! We have been coming to Key West for years and never miss going to Blue Heaven for breakfast or lunch and the Banana Heaven dessert is to die for! Take care and stay safe from the hurricanes! Leslie |

I just
wanted to send Jennifer
and Steve a BIG thank you. My brother and I fished with Steve in early April
and had a wonderful time. I have been fishing the Florida Keys for several
years now and this was by far one of the best trips. We caught some nice
fish, my prize was a 28 pound permit and it’s not just about catching fish
it’s about the people you fish with as well. Jennifer and Steve hook us with
Ryan Logan to do a reef trip the second day and that was great as well, my
brother is still talking about that donkey that whip his butt. I almost
forgot, I loved riding in Steve’s rocket ship.

Gennifer, Been back in sunny (???) England for a few days and already missing the sun and the fishing. Many thanks for all your help and assistance in organizing our few days with you in Key West. We had a great time and, as you probably already know, also caught some good fish. The first days fishing with Mike Cyr was amazing - he is obviously a very good captain and we didn't stop catching fish all day. I don't know if this was just his skill or we were lucky or a bit of both. In any event it was a day to remember. Wednesday was also good, not as many fish but I managed to catch another sailfish which made the day. The colder weather obviously didn't help the flats fishing on Thursday but still a very enjoyable outing. I was spell bound by the scenery out there and the boat trip alone was an experience - I have never been that speed in a boat that close to the water. All in all, this was a trip to remember, again many thanks for all your help. I will certainly be returning with Anne and our two boys of 12 and 15 in the not too distant future. Dear Jennifer, I just wanted to let you know how much my family and I enjoyed the 2 charters we booked through Dream Catchers. The all day snorkeling trip with Captain Steve was terrific. The kids and adults had a ball and Captain Steve knew just where the best dive spots were. Not only was he professional and friendly but he was also very knowledgeable about the diving and fishing in the keys and in general about the reefs and aquatic life we saw while diving. The seaplane adventure to the Dry Tortugas National Park was phenomenal. The landing on water and the view of the water and sea life from a low flying plane left everyone breathless. Also exploring the fort and the excellent snorkeling made for a very memorable day. I've been fortunate to have visited over 20 Caribbean islands and have been to the keys on numerous occasions and I can say that the Dream catcher staff was the most professional, courteous and friendly I've ever dealt with. Dear Steven: We returned home yesterday from a very successful trip to Key West. It was successful in large part due to the wonderful flats fishing charter we enjoyed with you. As you recall during our initial conversation prior to booking the charter, I told you of my desire to provide a positive fishing experience to my 17-year old daughter, a novice fisherman. She has only been fishing twice and enjoyed it, but she is not very brave on small boats in the ocean. Mission accomplished! You could not have made this a better experience for her. She thoroughly enjoyed herself. ...There aren't many 17 year olds who can talk about working a 50-pound black tip shark or watching a 150-pound tarpon leap out of the water. ...This was a wonderful father - daughter outing and a nice way for me to send her off to college. I appreciate you shooting me straight last week about the fishing off of Key West. My wife and I went out Saturday to Dry Tortugas on the cat, and had a nice, relaxing day. While snorkeling down there, I saw two out of three, as some 30-40 lb. tarpon were right off the coal dock, and I spotted a nice permit while swimming out toward a few heads 50 to 70 yards offshore. Anyway, we had a relaxing day that we would not otherwise had if you hadn't been so honest. I will remember that and look you up should I get down there in a month that makes more sense. Jon |

Gennifer, Thank you, you are so nice to take the time to answer these questions. What you said makes perfect sense, and Steve says most of the people he has met on the YC, ARE from the north. We are grateful for your knowledge and help. The FF does seem to be a nicer boat with much better facilities. He probably would never have tried it if it hadn't been for your advice. Capt. Steve, Thank you for setting me and my friend up with Will Benson back on February 6th. It was a last minute change and your office helped us get out fishing when we wanted to. We had a great time fishing with Will even though the conditions were not great. It was too cold and windy to really fly fish so Will hooked us up with a bunch on Barracuda's on light tackle. What a blast. Will did a great job explaining the game plan to catch these fish and worked hard to keep the action going. We had a great ride on his skiff with the Mercury outboard through some wild swells on the way out to the Marquesas. Engine, boat and Captain got us to the fishing spot in good time and pretty dry! Will made the tough day enjoyable with fast fish, good company and sandwiches which were all really appreciated. I hope to charter with Will again and would recommend him to anyone. Craig J. |

The Intensity is a beautiful custom fishing yacht with the finest tackle. We caught bonita and dolphin. I love to fish but this was more fun than any other type of fishing I've done. I think that was the fastest 8 hours of my life. Gennifer, I just wanted to provide some feedback on our experience. To put it simply, it was great! We had an excellent day on the water with Frank, and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. This was a surprise trip for my wife and kids, and I had not discussed the boat charter with them in advance. Not knowing exactly what to expect, they were a bit nervous about the plans, but they had an excellent time. We all agreed that Frank was the main reason for this success, and we would not hesitate to spend the day with him if we are ever in Key West again. Hello Hunter, now that we have returned home from our vacation and settled back into home life I wanted to send you an e-mail thanking you again for a wonderful day out at sea last week. My daughter Meghan is still talking about it to everyone. Seeing the dolphins up that close was an experience, and you seem to be just as excited as we were. You were great, the boat was great, and cant forget the cold shower, But most of all it had to be the fresh pineapple. Ha Ha. I know that you see many faces everyday so just in case you cant put a face to my e-mail, I am the one that you had fun going under the bridge at fifty miles an hour (or so it seemed) and having my stomach ending up in my throat. Steve, I just wanted to
comment on our November 11th and 12th flats fly fishing
permit in the Marquesas. I now understand why
the permit is your favorite fish, biggest challenge. Most of my fly fishing has been for Atlantic Salmon. The vast majority of that is by constantly casting over known or expected lies, not being able to see the fish until the rise, the take or some other sign of the fish. But you are constantly into casting, working the water, the fly, the line. So casting is the order of the day. It becomes rote. But on the flats, that is something else. I've only been on the flats a few times, and this was my first time for permit, but after the 2 days that you gave me, I can assure you that it will not be my last permit trip. This is more like a hunt. Repeated casting is not the order of the day. You stand waiting, rod and fly in hand, line trailing, shooting line coiled, waiting, looking, anticipating. You may only get one or two casts so you better be ready and you better produce. It's the anticipation I loved the most. Not knowing when you are going to say to me "Fish at 11 o'clock, 90 feet. Get ready." It is at this point that all of my years of fly fishing, casting, knowing, kick in and I know I will react precisely. Wrong! In reality it is at that point that I became a heart-racing, bumbling, arm-waving cartoon character. Despite that, we did have 3 takes, 1 hooked and lost permit (loop around the butt, another amateurish mistake-it's never happened to me before). I cannot convey to you how great a time I had fishing with you. I wish we were doing it again today. Today is November 27th, and I have thought about those trips at least a dozen times every day since and will continue to do so in anticipation of future trips. What you gave me was the reason anglers should always reserve the services of a top-rated guide like yourself. Your knowledge of your area, tides, flats, time of the year, the quarry and its habits and in directing/coaching the angler in each instance of contact is amazing. Anyone who can put all of those things together, along with intuitive instincts and educated guesswork to present the greatest opportunity for a hook-up is truly dedicated to the sport. Your willingness and desire to do whatever it took to get me hooked-up was very clear. I loved it! Just love the flats! I wish I could do more of it. I must say that I was disappointed in my own failures, be it casting, hook setting, line control. It was obvious that I was overcome by the excitement. But that's what it's all about to me anyway. If I can't get excited about permit fishing then I should stay home. And I learned a lot from you. A lot. And I will remember for the next time. I can't control the fish, but I can learn to control myself and my actions more for the next time. At least I think I can.

learn from you.
