The Dry Tortugas is an area of islands that lie 70 miles west of Key West with huge coral reefs surrounding them. Due to the remote location the Dry Tortugas does not get over fished and has an incredible amount of life. When people think about the Dry Tortugas for fishing they think of the most plentiful fishing grounds in the world.
Seriously fishing the Dry Tortugas takes experience and ability. Although there are many places to fish there, having the right GPS numbers and coordinates is key to adding that extra Dry Tortugas experience to a fishing charter out there. That's why it is critical you hire a guide that has been there before and will show you why the Dry Tortugas are well worth the visit.
